Buddy Up! is a program designed to create social and recreational opportunities for middle and high school students with special needs. Kids are partnered with buddies from their school and mentors from the High School program. We participate as a group in activities such as art camps, swimming, sports camps, cooking, community excursions and much more. Students with disabilities benefit by social interactions with their peers and create relationships that support them in their school environments. Students also benefit from gaining stronger ties within the community. Buddies and mentors benefit from the education and experience they gain from the relationships they form with peers with special needs.
